RGU sends list of full-time enrolled students in October and February to Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council. They have advised that if you contact them to apply for exemption when you first enrol as a student, they will award you exemption on the basis of your declaration as being a full-time student and they will wait for RGU’s list as confirmation. Therefore, you do not need to send them a letter/evidence confirming your student status when you first enrol as a student. If the council has a query about your student status after they have received RGU’s list, they will contact Student Records direct for further information.
